When I am planning a special gift and want to add a bit of magic to the project I try to plan the preparation and making of the project according to the moon. Granted some projects take a long time, plus work, family and other obligations make it impossible to only work on something when all the planets are aligned just right. However, with a bit of planning you can buy the needed supplies, start or finish a project, and\or bless the project during a time of the moon or corresponding to a season or Sabbat that relates to the gifts.

For example, for a project that you want to be filled with renewal, energy, fertility you can plan to purchase the needed items at the Spring Equinox. Bring the items home and bless them at your Spring celebration or place them on your Spring altar along with flowers, eggs, and seeds. Another option is to bless a small crystal at the same and keep it on your altar, it can be wrapped and given with the gift to add an extra dash of energy and magic.

It may not always be easy to time it by the moon cycles but with a little awareness you can add that extra touch of moon magic to a project.
